Thoughts From The Treadmill IV
I am relatively certain that the flu and other assorted viri were bio-engineered by laundry detergent manufacturers. The amount of laundry generated by these viri in soiled bedclothes and pajamas is staggering.

Then What? (Thoughts From the Treadmill, Part III)
Today as I cruised along on the treadmill, I started thinking...
What will my next degree be in? After CRNA school I mean.
I came down to just a couple of possibilities, either meteorology (so I can go storm chase) or enology & viticulture (so I can make wine). Maybe both at some point.
That will be my 6th (and possibly 7th) degree(s).
Of course a degree in literature might be nice one day...
BS in Biology, May 2001
BS in Human Anatomy, December 2007
Doctorate of Chiropractic, December 2007
BS in Nursing, December 2010
Doctorate of Nursing Practice & CRNA, December 2014?
Then what?
(That shrieking sound, by the way, is my wife cursing under her breath...)

More Thoughts From the Treadmill
It occurred to me if my sweat drenched t-shirt continues to rub the skin off my nipples every time I run, I may soon develop nipple calluses.
As sexy as that sounds, one has to wonder if nipple calluses aren't a risk factor for some super rare transformational nipple tumor...

Thoughts From the Treadmill
While I run, my mind tends to wander, which can be a good thing most days. Sometimes though, I find myself thinking about the oddest things.
For example, I recently found myself wondering how many calories I expend per day growing body hair. I mean, I'm a pretty hairy guy, and though I work hard to keep myself manscaped, I am at that age where the back hair has started sprouting up. And I hate it. I imagine I'll probably have laser hair removal at some point.
But then I stopped to think, if I kill off my back hair, am I going to gain a bunch of weight? Will those back-hair calories be then diverted to my growing mid-section? Is body hair actually a calorie blow-off valve?
